Our treatments use cutting edge technology and scientifically proven techniques using platelet based growth factors in Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Injectable Platelet Rich Fibrin (iPRF) harvested from your own blood, which is then re-injected and microneedled into your scalp, to help mobilise stem cells and activate and regenerate hair follicles.
The treatment involves, first, the application of a very strong anaesthetic cream to the scalp. Whilst the anaesthetic is taking effect a highly specialised kit is used to take a small amount of blood (similar to a blood test) for centrifugation and processing to harvest the iPRF and PRP growth factors- this stage takes approximately 5-6 minutes.
The iPRF and PRP growth factors are then injected into the scalp using a specialised device which can deliver up to 3200 injections per minute, at very specialised depths, tailored to the individual, to an accuracy of one tenth of a millimetre, all relatively painlessly with as little discomfort as possible.
The whole treatment takes between 45 minutes and 1hour, and we recommend a course of treatments, at tailored intervals. The number of treatments required and intervals are dependent on a number of factors, including severity of hair loss and thinning; however, all treatments are preceded by a through consultation with our surgeons who will be able to make appropriate recommendations and all patients are monitored throughout the process.
